East River Esplanade Overhaul in East Harlem Remains Frozen

During an update to Community Board 11 last month, city officials said that one key portion of the project between E. 94th St. and E. 107th Street could potentially get back on track one day—if it could receive “well over” $500 million worth of funding.

It is unclear where the money for this portion would come from, and the project is “on hold until future funding is available.”
