Emergency Sinkhole Repairs Spark Monthlong Esplanade Closure

The Esplanade will be closed to all pedestrians between East 93rd Street and East 96th Street, beginning May 26, for 4 weeks.

The closure is needed for an emergency repair coming after a long-standing sinkhole there was discovered to have significantly worsened and expanded Patch.
