“We have proposed a vision for Pier 107 that utilizes a number of sustainable design principles: Solar panels for lighting/electricity, recycled rainwater, composting toilets, fishing stations, and contoured greens for lounging are integrated into a pleasing landscape that accommodates local programming requests. The design is not extravagant. Simplicity rules and by utilizing low-tech sustainable design practices, we seek to demonstrate effective and exemplary green principles that will be the pride of the community.”
